About

Albert Einstein Academy for Letters, Arts and Sciences - STEAM is a K-6 elementary charter school located in Valencia, CA.  Our school has its vision set on providing rigorous, standards-based academics with world languages.  The goal is to explore concepts and skills through Project Based Learning and a STEAM focus.  In addition, AEA students give back to the community through the community service program.  For more information about the components of our program, please explore the pages throughout our site.
  • Community Service
A non-paying job performed by someone or a group of people for the benefit of the public or its institutions.
Here at AEA STEAM, Community Service is another component of our drive for rigor, recognition and excellence. Each student is required to complete a minimum of 10 hours of community service each year. To that end, an AEA Community Service website exists with details of pre-approved organizations and activities. You are invited to visit http://aeaelementarycommunityservice.weebly.com/ often to learn about the organizations with which we work, view upcoming opportunities and print out timesheets. If your child is interested in doing work with an organization that is not on the list, please contact communityservice.scv@ealas.org.  Remember to have timesheets signed by the person in charge of the event before you leave the venue. Parents, please make copies of completed, signed timesheets before having your child turn them into their teacher.

This year, we hope to give students more of a voice in the kinds of opportunities we offer. This will help make what they’re doing and the time spent doing it more meaningful. We want to create a real connection between students, their efforts and their impact on our communities.

We are also working on an AEA Signature Community Service Opportunity – an ongoing opportunity that is done exclusively by AEA students throughout the year. Full details about this exciting new program will be coming soon!

AEA’s Community Service function cannot work without parents. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Community Service team, please email us. We can’t wait to meet you!

Wishing all of us a great year!
